I have been drawing since an early age, always trying to copy cartoon characters to perfection. My best toys were colour pencils and any drawing material I could get my hands on. I come from a family of designers; mechanical; electrical ones and on our spare time, we always used to produce paintings, to decorate our home or to give it as a gift to someone.
I have been creating illustrations, logos, book covers, murals, designed kitchens & furniture. Worked for different companies in the UK and abroad since 1986 when I graduated from "Candido Portinari School of Art". In 2008,
I obtained my Foundation Degree in Interior Architecture and Design at the AIB; Art Institute at Bournemouth; which complemented to my other skills and opened my eyes to new ventures. At the same year, I illustrated a book for two clients called " Soul Codes", which was published in May 2008 in Brazil.
One of my inspirational works in 2010 was a set of illustrations of mythical beings, add to it It came back to me something I had done in the past that was hand-painted
t-shirts.
My professional background is Interior Designer/ Illustrator & Mural Artist. I don’t know if it was destiny or luck; but my husband is a designer as well!Through the years I’ve got interest in Graphic Design which I like very much - designing book covers, logos, artwork and work with visual communication.
One of my aims in life is to get better in my profession, try to experiment more with different mediums, colours, textures, improving my knowledge on the various softwares to get the best result in my work.
RecentlyI have been working at Taygeta Creative, a studio of graphic design, web design and publishing with my husband, Steven Messer.
My father's work is very varied as well. His background is mechanical & tool designer but He loves painting using different media as well as creating lamp shades and curtains using ring pulls from beer cans..very patient work and very pleasurable I suppose!!

My other Grandfather, Leonidio Bottura was an illustrator and his speciality was to reproduce flowers and plants visuals to illustrate botanic books.
